What is Wharfingers?
Wharfingers Youth Theatre was
founded in 2002 and is part of Louth Playgoers Society. Our
aim is to give young people with a love of the theatre the
opportunity to meet new friends, learn new skills and, above
all, to have fun! Everyone between the ages of 11 and 18 is
welcome and there are no auditions or any special entry requirements,
other than enthusiasm and commitment.

Daisy Pulls It Off
The February play was a success – and it also set a precedent.
For the first time, Wharfingers performed on the Playgoers’
main stage. Previous productions have been staged in the smaller
and more intimate Studio acting space, but Denise Deegan’s
delicious parody of life in a girls’ boarding school formed
part of the Playgoers’ official season of monthly plays
– and that meant a full week of performances to houses of
up to 200+.
