Daisy Pulls It Off continued:

‘Daisy Pulls It Off’ is set against the backdrop of public school life in 1920s England. The characters, costumes and language give the audience a distinctive flavour of the era, as the plot unfolds. Traditionally played by adults, the teenage cast offered a refreshingly different slant on the original - and it appealed to both young and old, if the audience response was anything to go by.

Acting out the tale of hidden treasure, practical jokes, pillow fights, midnight feasts and a perilous cliff top rescue in the dead of night, our youthful cast had swap their jeans for gymslips and learn a whole new language. Everyone had to concentrate on their diction so that they could do justice to the script - and the size of the auditorium emphasised the importance of projection.

The cast and crew worked hard to make this play a success and received congratulations from all quarters, including the NODA representative for the area. They were all ready to let their hair down at the last night after show party, which was of course a midnight feast. Well, what else?
